At Primitiques ®, all of our custom pieces go through an extensive, historically accurate process to create the authentic look of true antiques. All of our pieces are constructed from a high grade of sturdy white pine OR pieces of very, very old, salvaged wood.
Beth & her assistant artists then skillfully & loving apply a multiple step finish process to create a museum quality reproduction.
All of our products are made of wood & wood will sometimes naturally split and crack. This is a natural occurrence in wood and is sometimes unavoidable. Splits that may occur are due to temperature and humidity changes. We believe that these imperfections add to the unique and primitive look of the piece. Each piece is hand-crafted and no two pieces are the same. All of these processes add to the uniqueness and character of our furniture.
